Monthly Membership Meeting

Mountain Association is a Community Development Financial Institution founded in 1976 that invests in people, businesses, and communities across Eastern Kentucky. Its lending program is designed to expand access to capital for entrepreneurs by offering flexible loan amounts ranging from small microloans ( $1k-$50k) to over $1 million. The organization focuses on building a diverse, resilient local economy by supporting small businesses across sectors, reducing reliance on single industries, and keeping more wealth circulating within local communities.
 
Beyond lending, the program pairs financing with robust technical assistance and business support services to help ensure long-term success. This includes help with strategic planning, marketing, financial management, and operational improvements, as well as specialized support for energy efficiency and solar projects that reduce operating costs. Through a combination of capital, coaching, and energy-saving initiatives, Mountain Association strengthens businesses and organizations, supports job creation and retention, and drives sustainable economic growth throughout the region.
